I had an experience this morning, that caused me to no longer be able to "blow it off" of me.
Being a part of the Fox Insider Chat has been great.. good people... good conversation, great debate. Lots of good thoughts, thinking processes and participation in our America's issues. But... what I saw this morning is exactly part of the problem in our country.
However, that being said. I believe that all the aforementioned items can take place without attacking an individual. No one is ever going to come and stay on the site that we might be able as a whole, to help, if we keep attacking their thinking at the drop of a hat. Sometimes, the questions we ask of others need to be utilized in a fashion that allows them the opportunity to explain why they think what they do without demeaning them as a person.
Azalea was in the room and made a comment about Pakistan. Trish jumped right in and promptly asked her what rock she had crawled out from underneath. I am sorry, I stood up for her and told Trish she was basically out of line. I do not, will not, never have, and never will, condone, tolerate, or be a part of attacking someone's thinking in a personal attack.
I do not want to be treated that way, nor will I be a part of it. I have stood by, and watched this constant barrage of personal attacks at people go on for weeks now. Someone new comes to the room, and instead of it being a hearty debate over principle, it becomes a personal name calling event. Az isn't the only one to be attacked and I am not saying Trish is the only one who does it. I am just frankly saying I have had enough of it. If that means I leave the site never to return, so be it.

Our Purpose
My last blog was July 7th. Since that time, I have prayed, discussed and pondered the current path our country is facing. Each day, I see more and more how my blog of the 7th is THE BEST I can do.
We as a country, in order to do our part to help save our freedoms as we watch them dwindle in front of our eyes (IF you are really paying attention) is to fall on our face before God, and pray for those who are leading our nation to it's demise, as well as those who are working hard to save us from an administration full of deceit and lies. The purpose of satan is to steal and destroy, divide and conquer, and turn us against one another.
I have taken the liberty to copy this, as I felt it was so appropriate to our concerns of today:
About this week's promise
Homespun wisdom says, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." Although you won't find it put just that way in the Bible, you will find many stories of both effective and poor planning. The Bible teaches that God is a God of both purpose and planning. His purpose is to draw all humanity to himself in order to forgive and redeem. His plan—from Creation, to the Law, to the Prophets, to Jesus and the church—is what we are seeing when we read and study the Bible. Planning is part of all of our lives. The only question is if, in all our planning, we ever consult his perfect and eternal plan.
From the TouchPoint Bible
(Tyndale House) p 1243
Our purpose is to pray and follow God's guidance in our everyday living.

Time for Prayer
As our nation continues each day to show more and more signs of socialism taking over, I have found that outside of voting in November, I thought there was nothing I could do to help.
After watching the link I have added for Charles Stanley, I have accepted the best and more valuable action I could take to help our precious country, was to pray.
James 5:16 (New International Version)
16Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
I have spent many hours talking, writing, thinking, worrying, only to realize the only thing I need to do is pray.
Please join me everyday in praying for our soldiers, our country, our leaders, and the direction our country is going. God will help us, all we have to do is ask.
We have turned from Him as a nation, and once we turn our faces back to Him, He will handle all of it for us. I turn all my worries and concerns to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, so that He can do the work through me, in whatever way he chooses.

Thankful
~~~ Long sigh ~~~~ I am thankful. Thankful for this Country, the ability to be FREE, the ability to make choices for myself, the ability to love those around me and the ability to voice my opinion.
As this is the weekend to celebrate our freedom, I can't help but wonder how long I will be able to make the choices and decisions for myself and my family that I choose to make. It seems as of late, the ability to make decisions for myself are being more and more taken away. Oh not literally taken away, yet; but at least taxed. If I choose to go tan, I have to pay a tax? If I choose to not carry health insurance, I have to pay a tax? If my employer chooses not to carry health insurance for me, they have to pay a tax? I could go on and on....
I have to watch the news daily, I have to know what is happening to our America, but doing so at times, makes me so weary. We as a people, are no longer able to depend on the decisions of those we have elected to represent us in Washington. I can still exercise my right to vote (if the panthers don't show up) and vote to make a change in the person who represents me. But are the people who vote, taking this upcoming election seriously? Do they really KNOW what is going on in our country today, or are they just going and pulling the lever for the first person on the ballot because they blindly trust that person? Have they taken the time to learn and educate themselves regarding the person they are voting for? Do they know what that person believes in?
Yet, that being said, look at our current President. He promised to make changes, he made promises that this administration would be transparent, we the people would know what was happening in the decision making process of laws being enacted today. Yet behind closed doors, a health care policy was enacted that I dare to say, probably not one person really knows how it will effect us in years to come.
Websters definition of freedom:
Main Entry: free·dom
Pronunciation: \ˈfrē-dəm\
Function: noun
Date: before 12th century
1 : the quality or state of being free: as a : the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action b : liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another : independence c : the quality or state of being exempt or released usually from something onerous d : ease, facility e : the quality of being frank, open, or outspoken f : improper familiarity g : boldness of conception or execution h : unrestricted use
As I read this definition, I wonder if our America is as free as we think. The absence of necessity, coercion or constraint of choice. Are we truly able to exercise that liberty. Does that mean we should be able to make choices without taxes added? Is that freedom??
Thank goodness, I can still exercise my freedom of speech, the ability to be frank, open, outspoken. We as Americans, need to use our voice, to educate as many people as we can to use that freedom before it too is taxed or taken away from us.
2 Corinthians 3:17 (New International Version)
17Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom
Yes, the freedom to have the Bible in our schools has been taken away. Yet plainly, the Lord says, where His spirit is, so is our freedom. We the people, have not spoken loudly enough and have allowed this freedom to be taken from us. Will we stand up and take this freedom back?
A House of Cards
I had to walk away from the world of news today. I was so upset and angry, I knew I had to separate myself; if only for a little while, from the real world. I took my daughter to an appointment, and while I waited for her, I began reading Glen Beck's book, The Overton Window.
Was I ever in for a surprise. I had stepped out of the real world, into a fictional world, resembling our world of today, and found myself wondering even more about where our country is headed.
But this I DO know. I will stand up, I will speak loud and long, join every group possible to assist in regaining our country's MORAL law. I will do everything in my power to keep this government from thinking they will become MY God. It will not happen to me! I will NOT hold back my religious indoctrination, I will no longer be part of the silent who are allowing this country to be taken over by the socialistic view of this administration and it's people.
Ironically, my daughter has been attempting to build a house of cards. She has tried and tried and tried. She even went to the internet to try to learn how. I must admit I was "busy" watching Fox, and wasn't paying much attention to her. She wanted me to watch a video she found...I kept telling her in a minute, in a few minutes, until finally I gave in.
The video she wanted me to watch is both entertaining, and a reflection of our administration today. It is listed at the right ~~ A House of Cards.
Truth or Consequences
I continue every day to see more and more of the game our President is playing with the American people. Something like Truth or Consequences. Will he tell us the truth? Or, will we the people, suffer the consequences. This thinking process applies to everything I hear him say or do.
Psalm 15
A psalm of David.
1 LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary?
Who may live on your holy hill?
2 He whose walk is blameless
and who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from his heart
3 and has no slander on his tongue,
who does his neighbor no wrong
and casts no slur on his fellowman,
4 who despises a vile man
but honors those who fear the LORD,
who keeps his oath
even when it hurts,
5 who lends his money without usury
and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things
will never be shaken.
How long will we suffer as a nation from the actions and deeds of a man who has no idea what truth means, literally or spiritually.
Changing the World
Greatest man in history, named Jesus, had no servants, yet they called Him Master. Had no degree, yet they called Him Teacher. Had no medicines, yet they called Him Healer. Had no army yet Kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet he conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He lives today!
I took this from a Facebook post on my live feed. A reminder to myself that He is in control, every day, every hour, every second of our lives. Yes, I worry, but it is a price I will pay for a debt I will never owe, because He has already paid the price for each of us.
I know I can't change the world. I can't tell you how many times my precious Mother used to tell me "Karen, you cannot change the world". I have always wanted others to know what I knew about this man called Jesus. I have always just wanted to help others, touch others lives, hopefully in a positive way.
The serenity prayer comes to mind as I write. My own favorite Bible Scripture. Psalm 46:10 says to "be still and know that I am God", tells me to be quiet and let Him do His work, yet I am a believer that we as human beings have to continue to do our part in this life. We can't sit back on our laurels and expect others to do it for us.
I listen to the news every day, almost too much, I hear what my spirit tells me are lies and deceptions, are deliberate acts of taking the hands of the those who aren't willing to question the information they are given, or are incapable of understanding, and be led down this horrible path this country is walking. Where is it they are being led? Why do they go? Can't we help to educate them?
I can't help but wonder if anyone really, honestly, openly cares about others. Are we who follow Jesus walking in the steps of Jesus? Are we being open, honest, truthful? Are we teaching His lessons? Are we fighting His war? Do we fight the evils of the world? Do we extend our hand to others? Do we????
